Tom Brady, star of advertising campaigns for multiple companies including Subway, FTX Exchange, and Hertz has announced his retirement from his part-time role in the National Football League.

Brady's Tuesday morning announcement brings into question whether or not Adam Schefter purposely fabricated his report on Saturday that Brady would retire in order to force Brady's hand in order to save face.

What's next for Brady? If I were to guess, I would say his plan includes:

  • Waiting three months

  • Changing his mind

  • Signing with the San Fransisco 49ers for a minimum contract in order to win one last Super Bowl

In the meantime, I have no choice but to place Bill Belichick at the top of the "Brady/Belichick Legacy Rankings" at the moment. Being forced into retirement by Adam Schefter is a more embarassing loss than his 2018 Super Bowl defeat at the hands of NFL legend Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles. One has to wonder if Brady would have ever won anything without Belichick.

Brady/Belichick Official Legacy Rankings

1. Bill Belichick

2. Tom Brady
