This thread will be updated as new information emerges.

4:54 PM: Pain. (TB 28, CHI 3; 0:19 left in 2nd Quarter)

4:57 PM: More pain. (TB 35, CHI 3; 0:09 left in 2nd Quarter)

5:05 PM: Matt Nagy is a thief. Justin Fields has no less than 45 fumbles, and the offensive line is still atrocious. Mike Evans is awesome, and the Bears defense isn't. At least we don't have a first round pick next year to help make this team better. (Halftime)

5:10 PM: Maybe Jon Gruden was holding the Raiders back? (LV 30, PHI 7; 5:49 left in 3Q)

5:13 PM: The Jared Goff Revenge Game has new life as the Rams turn the ball over on 4th down near midfield. The Lions might be the best 0-6 team in NFL history. (LA 17, DET 16; 3:56 left in 3Q)

5:15 PM: The CBS studio crew is talking about how Andy Dalton needs to come in for Justin Fields. This is my nightmare.

5:18 PM: Is Leonard Fournette proving now that he was worth the top-5 pick the Jaguars used to draft him over Christian :, Dalvin Cook, and Alvin Kamara?

5:19 PM: The Buccaneers force a the Bears offense to come back out onto the field by punting. That's a win for Tampa Bay.

5:20 PM: One of those lame Amazon Web Services commercials came on talking about how a routine play in the NFL only had a 24.3% chance of happening or something like that. Detroit kicks a field goal to take a 19-17 lead toward the end of the 3rd Quarter. Sean McVay might be an overrated coach.

5:24 PM: The Bears are 1 for 8 on third down, and I'm now confused because I thought the Iowa Hawkeyes offense had a bye this week.

5:26 PM: Tony Romo just uttered the words "Matt Nagy knows all this" on a live television broadcast. Revoke his credentials now.

5:28 PM: Justin Fields might not be the guy. Tampa Bay picks off an errant pass through Darnell Mooney's hands in the TB Red Zone. At least the Bulls are 3-0.

5:30 PM: I could do with less Star Trek: Prodigy commercials. I thought Justin Fields was going to be a quarterback prodigy once.

5:34 PM: Zach Ertz caught a long touchdown pass to stretch the Cardinals' lead to 24-5 over the Texans. That helps my fantasy team. Not that anyone cares about that.

5:36 PM: Jim Nantz catches himself fully crediting the Buccaneers with an official win in this game with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, but honestly he might as well have run with it. Bilal Nichols throws a punch and we finally have an answer to the question: "Who on this Bears team will step up and fill the shoes of Javon Wims this season?" Matt Stafford reclaims the lead over the Lions with his 49th completion to Cooper Kupp this afternoon.

5:44 PM: The Bears make a goal line stand. Might be a turning point in the game. (TB 35, CHI 3; 0:19 left in 3Q)

5:47 PM: Final score (of the 3rd quarter): Tampa Bay-0, Chicago-0. The Bears are hanging tough in the more important half of the game. That counts as a win in my book.

5:50 PM: Never mind. Justin Fields just threw another pick.

5:51 PM: I really should have picked a better game to live blog. Yikes.

5:53 PM: Same, Justin.

5:54 PM: The Bears hold the Bucs to a field goal. 38-3, Tampa Bay. Time to go put some laundry away instead of watching Craig Robinson dance around with a pizza.

6:03 PM: Overheard Tracy Wolfson providing some information about how Tampa Bay's secondary is playing without a lot of its normal rotational players. Convenient that she left out that the Bears have been playing without a head coach all year.

6:06 PM: WE HAVE A BLAINE GABBERT SIGHTING.

6:07 PM: Tom Brady finishes with 211 passing yards (his season low). Mention that to the next NFL fan who says that the Bears defense isn't elite.

6:09 PM: My wife made Beef and Broccoli tonight, so I might have to head out early. The Bucs are running out the clock late in the 4th quarter. The Rams are going to win the Stafford/Goff Bowl.

6:26 PM: This kid and I have very similar dispositions for very different reasons.

6:28 PM: The Beef and Broccoli was 10/10 (maybe a recipe article on the way soon). The Bears are awful, but we'll still be here next week when Trey Lance outduels Justin Fields and I get really sad again. Let me know if this was even a little interesting to read, and maybe I'll make it a more common thing in the future!

Bear Down😭

Beef and broccoli. Yes please. Enjoyed the blog post also. Saves me having to debate whether to watch the recorded game, 28 Days Later, or Captain Marvel.

Important thing I learned tonight: there's actually a lot more to the "Bear down Chicago Bears" song than just "Bear down Chicago Bears," thanks, Jake!
