You really couldn't get a better picture during the photo shoot?

A Quick Rundown After/During Halftime of the First Round of Games

Georgia's Defense: Still good.

Defenses in the state of North Carolina: Not so much.

Nebraska is a legitimately solid team. A big TD pass to Samori Toure brought them right back into the game, and they're threatening to push Ohio State to the point that the Big Ten is going to have to make the call to the officials to save the Buckeyes' (and the Big Ten's) playoff hopes.

Time for a new addition to the trophy case Nebraska fans love to constantly talk about while the rest of the country's teams play in bowl games:

Well, that one week in the CFP rankings was fun for the Gophers, wasn't it?

There's probably a Jerry Falwell Jr. joke to be made here, but this previously-hyped game is enough of a joke already.

I think we all know this'll end with Nebraska scoring a TD and then giving up a safety to lose 25-24, but...

Kansas driving late in the 4th quarter to possibly cover the 24-point spread (I'm not a gambler) against rival Kansas State is what college football is all about.

Never mind.

Nebraska missed a 31-yard FG. That's Husker football.

So the Big Ten West is a dumpster fire.

Oh boy.

North Carolina running the "QB Draw every time we need 4 yards" offense while Wake Forest is running the "Defend everything but the QB Draw every time UNC needs 4 yards" defense. What a chess match.

Typed in the symptoms (that I can see from my couch) on WebMD and it told me that Sam Howell might have a myocardial infarction right now. That's not good.

He's back on the field after one play. Maybe he just had his wind knocked out.

It's totally fair for Ohio State to have two first-round receivers (Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson), have one of them miss the game today (Wilson), and then their other receiver is basically Randy Moss.

Buckeyes win 26-17

Didn't realize the Iowa offense was playing already this afternoon. #F1

Roll Boilers/The Empire?

Purdue made a bad choice there, punting on 4th and 1 from about midfield. The punt only nets them about 20 yards after a bad bounce.

Half-time Thoughts For the Second Round of Games

Purdue is taking it right at Michigan State. If they pull the upset, it won't come off as fluky in the slightest.

Wisconsin is back to being Wisconsin.

Auburn and Texas A&M are playing a game that Big Ten teams would get made fun of for.

Cincinnati is driving a stake into the heart of its playoff hopes by struggling with mediocre/bad football teams like Tulsa.

Bo Nix just Bo Nix'd. RIP Auburn.

Cincinnati survives Tulsa after a 4th-down stop inside their own five. Regardless of how they look going forward in the AAC, I think they're out of the playoff unless there are multiple two-loss conference champions (and even then I'd still be unsure). If they'd played the way they have the past three weeks against a Big Ten/SEC schedule, they'd probably have 2+ losses. They needed to be dominant all season, and they just haven't. Now they're just playing for a New Year's Six bowl.

I think David Bell is the best wide receiver in the country.

Baylor QB Gerry Bohannon with a horrific interception to seal a tough loss to TCU in the Horned Frogs' first game in the post-Gary Patterson era. Baylor needs some help if they're going to have a chance a a Big 12 title game.

Purdue wins 40-29. Never be ranked in the Top 5 if Purdue is coming up on your schedule. You might as well lose the week before, because you're going to take a loss either way.

Iowa vs. Northwestern: A football masochist's delight.

Losing to LSU at the end of the first quarter is enough to knock Alabama out of the playoff in my opinion.

Alex Padilla: Might already be the best QB in the Big Ten.

Yeah, Iowa football drained basically all of the energy I possibly had. What a day.

Go Football.

Yeah, the first few drives of this game was when Petras was finally testing my patience enough to where I wanted Padilla. Looks pretty good so far

It would make more sense if it was Iowa because there’s about a 15% chance they’d actually get the first down if they went for it
