If you listened to our podcast from yesterday, you heard Jake and I create a definitive ranking of all the snacks under Little Debbie's umbrella. We're big fans of Debbie and her good work so it was difficult to rank so many of the delicious offerings. I've compiled our list with photos of each of the snacks so you can go through and see if our ranking is good or not! Feel free to weight in in the comments about how you would rank the tasty morsels!
41. Banana Marshmallow Cookies

Neither Jake nor I are big fans of artificial banana flavor or marshmallows. Also, these just look too yellow.
40. Jelly Creme Pies

The jelly and creme don't appear to be enough to make these little cookies not dry. We also don't love the use of jelly in snack cakes.
39. Raisin Creme Pies

Most people don't like raisins. I enjoy raisins a lot more than most probably do, but that doesn't make these look like they deserve a ranking higher than 39.
38. Strawberry Shortcake Rolls

Again, we don't love the use of jelly in snack cakes and this is no exception. They also look really dry and lack the normal frosting layer around the other rolls.
37. Devil Cremes

My mouth got dry just looking at these. Devil's Food Cake is supposed to be sinfully delicious, but these just look like a sin.
36. Cherry Pies

Maybe we just haven't had enough exposure to the pies of Little Debbie, but our limited experiences weren't great. My memory of these features a lot of overly sweet filling and far too crumbly crust.
35. Apple Pies

These are just like the cherry pies above but more popular.
34. Unicorn Cakes

These look like they would be delicious if we were 6 year old girls. We're not, though, so they look like they're trying to compensate for not being that good by adding lots of colors.
33. Birthday Cakes

Hot take: birthday cake is an overrated flavor. These again look dry and not very celebration-worthy.
32. Fancy Cakes

These look like zebra cakes but don't have the delicious nostalgia that accompanies zebra cakes.
31. Peanut Butter Creme Pies

These should be everything Jake and I could want in a Little Debbie as the peanut butter lovers that we are, but they're too dry and too sweet for our taste.
30. Chocolate Chip Creme Pies

These look like less appealing oatmeal creme pies. Chocolate chip cookies are good, but these cookies look too cakes and a little flavorless.
29. Zebra Mini Donuts

I've eaten many mini donuts in my lifetime. They're always dry and the frosting is a little waxy, but the nostalgia factor is off the charts. Combining two nostalgic favorites should be a great idea, right? We're not so convinced. I don't think putting on the white chocolate coating would be an improvement on the chocolate coating and the zebra design doesn't impress me that much.
28. Zebra Cake Rolls

Again, does the zebra coating improve on the classic Swiss Rolls? Probably not.
27. Birthday Cake Mini Muffins

These look okay, but they probably taste like regular plain vanilla muffin. The colorful sprinkles can't fool us.
26. Devil Squares

These look okay, but as we've said often above, a little dry. There are superior versions of chocolate cake above that are more moist than these appear. Also, Devil's Food Cake is the second worst iteration of chocolate cake (Behind red velvet. I know red velvet has fans but it's overrated and I'm not afraid to say it).
25. Frosted Fudge Cakes

We're getting into the territory where everything starts to look pretty good. These look pretty tasty, but we didn't feel they could surpass any of the classics we know and love.
24. Fig Bars

These are essentially Fig Newtons but longer. We can get behind some good Fig Newtons, but not more than other sweet snacks.
23. Mini Brownies

We've both had these before but their form is not better than normal brownies or the other mini muffin flavors.
22. Peanut Butter Crunch Bars

We can both vaguely remember trying these before but they're not really things that struck us so much we could remember the feeling of taking our first bites. As mentioned above, we love peanut butter and peanut butter with chocolate is one of our favorite combos. These are good, but they're not legendary.
21. Strawberry Shortcake Mini Donuts

We're not always huge fruit flavored dessert fans, but these look pretty good.
20. Donut Sticks

I've never had these but Jake has enjoyed them in the past. They look like any donut you could get at a gas station and that's not great but not terrible either.
19. Glazed Mini Donuts

These look very similar to the Donut Sticks but cute and bite sized.
18. Fudge Round Mini Donuts

We're big fans of the regular Frosted Mini Donuts and these are like that but chocolate. They look like they would slap with a glass of milk.
17. Powdered Mini Donuts

A classic. So good, but the powdered sugar makes your mouth a little too dry and leaves incriminating finger prints all over when you're done.
16. Frosted Mini Donuts

The Powdered Mini Donuts but with no downsides. I would always bite three holes around the chocolate coating, submerge the donut in milk, and let the milk make the inside soft and delicious when it soaked in through the chocolate portholes.
15. Turtle Brownies

We're fans of the chocolate-caramel-nut combo and these look like they would be decadent even for a snack cake.
14. Pecan Spinwheels

I've never tried these but Jake says they're way better than one might initially think.
13. Strawberry Shortcake Mini Muffins

The Mini Muffins are great. So soft and moist. We thought strawberry flavor would compliment the muffin body well.
12. Honey Bun Mini Muffins

Honey Buns are great. Mini Muffins are great. A match made in heaven.
11. Blueberry Mini Muffins

How are these so much better than regular blueberry muffins? Is it their size? A secret ingredient only Debbie herself knows? No matter what, these are so good.
10. Chocolate Chip Mini Muffins

Great just like the blueberry version, but chocolate instead (and better because of it).
9. Zebra Cakes

So nostalgic! These were the most delectable little treat as a child. The shape, the stripes, the filling! It all combined to make us swoon as kids. However, upon having these as adults we realized they weren't quite as good as we remembered. Still a classic, though, and deserves a high ranking.
8. Fudge Rounds

These were a staple in my house growing up. They're very soft and have a good chocolate flavor. Really great and deserving of being in the top 10, but not number one.
7. Swiss Rolls

Everyone knows about Swiss Rolls. Eating the chocolate off from the outside and then enjoying the cake inside was the proper way to eat them. Switzerland may be historically neutral, but we're anything but neutral on how good these are.
6. Chocolate Cupcakes

An icon. Look at that frosting and the perfect white curls. That filling. The moist cake. These were as good as real cupcakes growing up and we still think they're delicious now.
5. Star Crunch

Star Crunch are underrated. The crispy rice with chocolate and caramel just meld so well together. They're super soft and chewy and they're just delicious.
4. Nutty Buddies

Chocolatey, nutty, wafer-ey goodness. Jake says the best way to eat these is straight out of the freezer.
3. Honey Buns

These are so pillowy with frosting that is perfectly sweet. I would eat these in a heartbeat right now.
2. Cosmic Brownies

We know that it might be controversial that these aren't number one, but we stand by our decision. These are incredible. They're super fudgy, the brownies are moist, the frosting is perfect, and the sprinkles just top it off perfectly. An absolute classic. We would eat these now gladly!
1. Oatmeal Creme Pies

MY MOUTH IS WATERING JUST LOOKING AT THESE. Oatmeal Creme Pies are so classic Little Debbie. The cookies are perfectly chewy and spiced. The filling complements the cinnamon so well. These are both nostalgic and delicious still. We know other people might not rank these as high as we do, but we're passionate about OCPs.
That's our list! Let us know what your number one is! Something we ranked way too low? Tell us! We hope you enjoyed reading and we hope we might have sparked some nostalgia in you for your Little Debbies days!

How did I miss this?
I would rank a few things differently, but your reasoning holds up pretty well. I’d flip star crunch and honey buns, and move OPC behind star crunch. But only if OPC gets freezer time, otherwise drops out of the top seven. Great list - let’s hear more!
