What The Experts Are Saying About Their Picks

(Expert's pick in blue)

Will Hunter-Has the Best Beard of the Blog Contributors

About Oklahoma versus Baylor:

"Everyone says Oklahoma has an incredible SOR, but we all know that this team almost lost to Kansas. Baylor finally puts an end to the Oklahoma playoff dream."

About Purdue versus Ohio State:

"Please don’t prove me wrong, Bucky."

About Minnesota versus Iowa:

"Iowa, because someone has to win."

About Georgia versus Tennessee:

"Does anyone really think Tennessee has a shot here? Georgia has been the only consistent team this season, following a tough 10-3 opening win against Clemson. The Dawgs should take care of business this week."

Josh Hunter-The Tallest Blog Contributor

About Minnesota versus Iowa:

"Iowa’s explosive offense and stingy defense look to make a statement this week against an overhyped Minnesota football team."

About Arkansas versus LSU:

"A good defensive struggle between the Razorbacks and Tigers, but Lil’ Superman swoops in to save the day for Arkansas with a 31-0 point run in the 4th quarter."

Taylor Hunter-The Oldest Blog Contributor

About Michigan versus Penn State:

"Michigan is overrated in my eyes. They continually refuse to elevate their playing to the level they think they're at in their heads (the best team in the Big Ten over even OSU who they haven't beaten in how many years now?)"

About Boston College versus Georgia Tech:

"Honestly didn't really know these schools had football teams. Way outside my radar so I did eeny meeny miney mo."

Jake Hunter-The Third-Tallest and Third-Best Beard-Grower of the Blog Contributors

About NC State versus Wake Forest:

"Wake took a tough loss last week to UNC, but I think they have the goods to take down a good NC State team at home this week. The Wolfpack were absolutely gashed by Mississippi State's passing game earlier this year, and I think Wake's aerial attack is the most potent they'll have seen this year. Give me the Demon Deacons at home by a touchdown."

About Arkansas versus LSU:

"This game depends entirely on LSU's frame of mind after a close loss on the road last week versus Alabama. Despite being one of the more depleted rosters in the nation, there's still ample talent on the field for the Tigers every week. If last week was the all-in, put-all-the-chips-on-the-table, last gasp of the Ed Orgeron era, then I expect Arkansas to pull this one out. If it was a rallying cry, I think LSU prevails. I'm counting on the latter. In my opinion, LSU should be energized by their performance in Tuscaloosa last week and enter this game with considerable confidence. Oh, and it's a night game in Baton Rouge. Need I say more? Give me LSU."

About Texas A&M versus Ole Miss:

"A&M has turned the corner as a team and should impose their will on a flailing Ole Miss squad. Matt Corral is probably the best player on the field, but the Aggies are the better team."

The Bulls got a big win over the Dallas Mavericks to move to 8-0* on the season. Alex Caruso was sensational. Caruso, Lonzo Ball, and Zach LaVine teamed up for this insane play. Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. declared that the Bulls are officially "back". Life is good in the Chi-town.

Nikola Vucevic's positive COVID test puts a damper on the Bulls' immediate outlook as they prepare for a five-game road trip out to the West Coast, but I look at the situation as an opportunity for the Bulls to collect wins and avoid any threat of losses**.

Not much more needs to be said.

Bull Down.

*The Bulls have yet to lose a game in which either A. Patrick Williams was NOT hurt on a dirty play or B. The Philadelphia 76ers essentially cheated by NOT playing Ben Simmons, because the Bulls absolutely would have won if he had played

**In my official records, I will not count any losses a team may accrue with an All-Star Montenegrin basketball player missing from the lineup due to a respiratory virus

This will be a very important ranking of the machines at the gym based on how much I enjoy using them, which seem to give the best workout, and how often I would want to use each machine.

7. The Functional Trainer

ree

I'm sorry, functional trainer. You do seem like you would indeed live up to your name but there's just too much going on here. I see this at the gym and I get overwhelmed by the possibilities and go to something simpler with less going on. I tried to do a pull up one time and have neglected this machine since.

6. Recumbent Bike

ree

The recumbent bike just feels like I'm not doing anything whenever I use it. I feel like I'm relaxing more than I'm doing a workout and that defeats the entire purpose of going to the gym in my opinion. I've never used this outside my childhood home when this was in front of our tv and I could watch Spongebob as I rode.

5. Stationary Bike

ree

I don't hate the stationary bike, I just have qualms with it. I feel like I can get a really good workout when I use it if I push myself. However, what makes a bike fun to ride is speeding along outside with the wind blowing through your hair. The stationary bike takes that joy out of riding a bike and I would rather ride a bike outside any day than workout on the stationary bike. Also, I did a spin class one time in my second week of college and thought I had given myself rhabdo and would never walk again. I was fine, but I've never forgiven the stationary bike. I've used this like four times.

4. The Treadmill

ree

The treadmill is a good machine, I cannot deny that. However, it becomes very monotonous very quickly. Even the treadmills with the TVs built into them leave me bored just a few minutes into the workout. I need more entertainment to distract me from how much I am struggling with a run than the treadmill can provide. I use this pretty often, but have fun on it rarely.

3. The Stair Stepper

ree

I am a big proponent of the stair stepper. I like the fact that I can get a good muscle-building leg workout while still getting my heart rate up and pumping. The stair stepper is also a sneaky versatile machine. I cycle through straight forward steps at a normal speed, forward at high speed, slow with leg kick-backs, sideways steps, and skipping a step. I use this fairly often but like to sprinkle it in with other machines.

2. The Rower

ree

Until a couple of weeks ago, I was too intimidated to try the rower. It seems like a lot of steps to accomplish one rep and I wasn't sure I was coordinated enough to manage that. However, I watched a couple videos on Youtube, hyped myself up, and sat down on the rower for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Like with the stair stepper, I felt good knowing I was doing muscle-building motions within my cardio workout. I will be using this a lot more in the future! Try the rower. Be brave. You'll feel wicked strong afterwards.

1. The Elliptical

ree

Ah, the elliptical, my gym love. There's just something about the swinging foot pedals and handles that I find so fun. When I'm on the elliptical I don't get bored like I do on the treadmill. I actually find it enjoyable to push myself to up the resistance and how fast I go because the machine is so adjustable. I really get my heart pumping and leave the gym feeling like I got a good, hard workout in when I spend my time on the king of all gym equipment. I use this almost every time I hit the gym.

What equipment do you like to use at the gym? Insulted that I put the stationary bike so low? Love something I didn't even list? Let me know in the comments below!
